Museum of the Grand Prairie

Ride in Lincoln’s buggy, pose for your photograph in Samuel Alschuler’s studio, wait for Lincoln to give a speech in the Goose Pond Church. Through immersive experiences you will come to know Champaign County’s Lincoln. This Museum of the Grand Prairie’s exhibit, detailing the places Lincoln visited, the hardship of the circuit, and the profound effect Lincoln had on Champaign County citizens, is fun and informative for everyone. Also included in this exhibit is a brief history of the involvement of local men and women in the Civil War. Don’t miss the two wayside signs at the Museum of the Grand Prairie either!
